Photography Course

The idea is to build confidence in using your camrea and hints and tequniqes to get the most out of it as well as covering sunjucts like compostion and lighting.

There will be plenty of one to one tuition, so bring your camrea and enthusiasem.

The course is form 10am to 3pm aprox (it sometimes runs over)

The cost is £50

You will need to bring walking gear suitable for the weather

Camera equipment with full charged batteries and empty cards

And a packed lunch.

Photgraphic courses

It will be structured as an introduction to photography ranging from basics of how to use your camera, to more advanced techniques. As with all my courses I will try to develop and improve people's skills on a one to one basis during the day.

Prices will be £40 per person running 10am - 4pm with a maximum group of about 6

The Panoramic book with Val Corbett has been one of the best sellers in 2004 in the Lake District and Cumbria according to the book wholesalers, Hills Books. It sold out within the year, so a second print run has now been completed and it is now back in stock by popular demand.

A little bit about me.

I have lived in the Lake District nearly all my life giving me a true insight into the nature and moods of Cumbria.

I've been a landscape photographer for many years starting with my first camera, a Vivitar SLR, given to me on my 14th birthday. This led to many tours around the Lake District and Cumbria as well as further a field in the UK.

I became a professional landscape photographer in the late nineties and soon found wonderful capabilities in the new science of digital photography allowing me to produce very high quality panoramic landscape photographs with a medium that is still often regarded as inferior for landscape photography. I have kept abreast of the developments in digital photography and the current results are now surpassing film for quality and flexibility.
